Going to Rockport in a couple of weeks. Never been there and wanting to go out with a guide or guides a couple of days. Three adults and one 9 year old. Any recommendations? Everything I seem to google are services that want to book online. Not comfortable booking a guide without actually talking to them. Any recommendations are welcome! Thanks! Randy

Would also like recommendations on an inshore guide. I'll be taking out of Port A with a total group of 3. Any recommendations appreciated.

Don't know what type of fishing y'all are seeking, but, if I was booking an inshore charter in the Rockport area, I'd give Capt. Larry Bell a look, at Artificial Action fishing. He's one of the guys that report on TexasFishingTips every week, and is the most intense and informative of any of the guides. He does Copano Bay and north of there a lot. Google up his name and you'll find his site. Have fun and catch'em'up! YMMV IslandJim

We are looking for bay fishing. Trout , reds, flounder, drum. We do have a 9 yo with us so I donโt know if wade fishing would work. Thanks for info.

Give Dean Thomas a call at Slowride Guide Service in Aransas Pass. He has tons of repeat customers, and might not have a slot, but he'll know who and what you need for your trip. The other guy I would recommend is leaving for ICAST in Florida. Good luck IslandJim

Iโm gonna go out on a limb and say finding a guide with only a couple weeks of planning time isnโt gonna be easy.

Yes, I realize that. Had this trip become available on short notice also. I had a good list of five recommended guides from a friend that goes there about 3 or 4 times a year. All of them are book!

if Guide has openings with only a couple of weeks notice , I am not sure I want to go with that guy. Your mileage may vary.
