Hello all - I’ve been a lurker for a while and figured I should create an account and join in on the fun.
I’ll be staying in PK next week with my son (near Veale Creek). Is it worth it just fishing docks/nearby structures around that area or should I high-tail it over to the other spots (across from state park etc..) for reference, we just have a 115hp mercury so I assume I’d have to leave pretty early to get some decent headway lol. Thanks in advance for the tips. Glad to be a part of this online fishing community now. Cheers

Uh, that's not very far...... WAWI. I suggest you give up all your stuff on PK so we can just make it a sticky and avoid new threads on where to go a PK every week.

Uh, that's not very far...... WAWI. I suggest you give up all your stuff on PK so we can just make it a sticky and avoid new threads on where to go a PK every week. I don't spend alot of time in that creek so I don't care lol. I don't get asking if it's worth it to make the run from veale creek to state park area cause it's literally a 3 minute run..... surely this must be some wierd trolling post. Idk.

Basslicker, just go to the back of state park cove and throw a wacky senko or shaky head around the docks and you should do just fine. Main lake is an arse kicking right now with all the traffic, but if you want to go into Caddo and throw at the standing timber on the right hand bank, you can do fairly there also. The Poker Run event is a major [censored] whipping so just stay off the main lake and stay in Cedar Creek, once they leave Fox Hollow you can migrate down that way. There will be flyers out at all the stores so you can look to see when take off is so you will know what the start time is to avoid the circus.
