My wife's KIA did not have a bracket. I had to buy a bracket from Amazon. It did have a couple of little dimples showing you where to drill the holes.

No front plate = great PC for a traffic stop. According to I have read LEOs are not going to stop you for no front plate but if they stop you for any other reason they will write you up for it. Like Bob I have taken notice of the number of vehicles with no front plates or the front plate on the dash. If I did not have a front on my bumper I certainly would not put it on the dash. LOL. I can show you a buuuuuuuuuuunch of LEOs who will stop a vehicle for no front LP. Although I never liked working traffic, I myself have used the "No Front LP Displayed" law for PC to stop a vehicle whose operator had piqued my interest. More than once........

Front plate just takes up room for more LED light bars.

This isn’t new. It’s been years and years. No plates on LOTS of vehicles.

Many high end drivers don't even have a place for a plate- check a Benz, Jag or Tesla. Have you EVER seen a Tesla with a front plate? always chaps my butt to have to drill holes in the front bumper to mount licenses plates on a new vehicle, but I do it, cause its the law... then one day I bought me a pop rivet gun and now its fun attaching license plates... I pop rivet all my plates on now when possible, the brackets the plates, I'm always looking for things to pop rivet... LOL Every vehicle sold in the US has a front plate mounting bracket option from the manufacturer - without the buyer having to drill new holes in the vehicle. Sorry to pop your bubble but that is an incorrect statement. I got a 2023 Toyota Tacoma in March of this year and there were no holes in the front bumper. There were dimples where the holes were to be drilled and the dealership offered to drill them for me. I told them not to worry as I was fine doing it myself. They did provide the bracket and attachment hardware along with instructions.

I never put a front license plate on my wife's bimmers. Didn't come from the dealer that way so why should I. Then I found out it's the law in Texas. The ride she has now I drilled the holes for it and mounted the plate. No worries now. It's a bimmer too.

Over the decades, lived in several different States with different rules. Even lived in one State where it was required to have a front plate unless there was no bracket in the front bumper for one. I remember the first time I lived in Florida they were rear plate only. I was moving there from Kansas that had just went to front and rear plate required. Forgot to take off the front plate for awhile, so I had Kansas plate on the front and Florida one on the rear. Never got pulled over.
May you be treated the way you treat other people, today and everyday!

Now hold on a minute here. Criminals aren’t known for being the smartest group. I could be wrong, but I believe the now dead Oklahoma City bombing guy got caught in large part because he couldn’t nail the license plate requirements in the great state of Oklahoma. (It wasn’t missing a front one but stay with me here.)
I think our fine folks in blue can use license plate regulations as a reason for pulling over these idiot criminals. It won’t help snare the smart ones, but definitely would help us catch more dumb ones. And if the dumb ones are locked up, they can’t be out here impregnating our wives and daughters and diluting the gene pool with more dumb criminal babies.
I say, keep the front license plate laws on the books!
