Who out there has used this technique successfully here in north Texas? It sure seems like a relaxing way to fish, but I wonder about the consistency and productivity of the bite.

I've done it in the spring in shallow coves with some success.

I donโt care for any kind of trolling. I tried it with crankbaits once and jigging was just so much better.

Some folks from TN did good at Fork crappie masters long lining or side pulling one. We joked about if they went back and forth at the dam or trolled the boat lanes! I would have to think hard about where I could long line troll without snapping the trolling motor shaft off! Brad Chappell in MS is great at long line trolling.

 Thanks for video Ford man, have to try it. When family would go to the cabin on table rock we trolled in afternoon with cranks. caught some nice size crappie & bass. Never trolled with jigs. Btw iam pulling the B.C. with a 2002 f150/w / 5.4l has 365,ooo MI on it. What you drivin???? Miss That Lake.
