Was out in the San Marcos River and my fishing buddy caught this fish.
What species?

White crappie.

It has a light greenish appearance because of the lightly stained water. If it was in a darker water. The spots become darker for camouflage.

I can't get it large enough, but I'm sure it's a sunfish, not a crappie.
