I was very disappointed , Ortiz may have missed out on the 147lb title ,sounds like his management may want to move him up to 154lbs,when he is cleared, health wise.I will still follow him he is a excellent boxer.

I was very disappointed , Ortiz may have missed out on the 147lb title ,sounds like his management may want to move him up to 154lbs,when he is cleared, health wise.I will still follow him he is a excellent boxer. I think I remember why I faded out of the sport.

Yup. You don’t wanna get labeled as a guy who can’t make weight. Learning the “professional” part of being a professional prize fighter is as important as the punching.

From what I read is Ortiz passed out and had to have CPR to bring him back, trying to get to 147 for the weigh in.

Rudy didja catch the Ennis fight on showtime? Don't tell me what happened. Showtime has it on a section of pre-recorded boxing so I'm gonna catch it after dinner tonight,I'll give you my sports opinion later.

He got hit with a bunch of giant shots. If his corner or ref stopped it in the 8th, he coulda saved alot of beating on that brain. I never can figure out where I stand on that. Guy was still punching back but I didn’t think he had much chance to win. He got hit with an uppercut around the 7th round that was one of the loudest punches I’ve ever heard. I couldn’t believe he didn’t go down. Villa went out on his shield though! One tough hombre!
Ennis looked dang near invincible too. He took some good shots but was unfazed.
