What's the best garmin graph for just livescope? Do I need a black box with the newer units or just the lv34?
Thanks in advance

IMO the best Garmin graph for livescope is the GPSMAP 8616, but they are a little pricey. No, I don't have one, but I have a friend that does and it is awesome. I have a 106sv and it works really well. Get the biggest screen you can afford and will fit where you want to mount it.

It is the best, by a lot.

It’s the same unit, just doesn’t have mapping. Yes you need the gls10 (black box) for the 32 and 34. The LVS12 doesn’t require the gls10. You don’t want to buy that, it sucks.

Yes, I will give somebody a good deal on my legend. Lol I was leaning towards the 8416 but was thinking that's to big for the bow.

1222 is the best bang for a good setup. I have the 1222/black box/livescope transducer only for dedicated FFS.
Unless you want a smaller screen, but I wouldn't go smaller than a 12 inch screen.

How in the heck do you roll cast a spinnerbait or a frog with that monstrosity on the front of the boat?

I don't think you need the black box with the ultra series.

I don't think you need the black box with the ultra series. 32 and 34 requires a gls 10 (black box) across all series of graphs. Lvs12 does not require it (black box) on the Ultras and GPSMaps series.

While that makes sense, what I would like to know is how many times a day do you unintentionally deploy/stow the power poles? I would be stepping all over those buttons where they are located? Not making fun or judging, just really want to know.

The only time I bump into the is when I’m steering the live sonar.
