Are there any good rivers in Texas to fish from a bass boat?

I have not been there in 30 years but the Sabine above Tawakoni at highway 69 used to be a good bass area.

Not really. Not around here. The best you'll get is where the Leon river feeds out into Belton lake.

From northeast Texas if it were me I'd go to Louisiana and fish the Red and Ouachita Rivers. Mid week my experience on the Ouachita in mid summer heat can be a very good day on the water. A Texas rigged worm, 1/4 ounce Ratl-Trap , or a crankbait in shad or perch color in some eddy currents around bridge pilings, rocks, bends, points, storm sewers, etc and things can get fast and furious quickly. There's also massive schools of shad that stay right on the surface, don't even need sonar to see them. Just match the hatch and get after it. The fish on this river travel in schools and the best way to fish it is to pick some spots that are going to be productive and if you don't get bit right out of the gate move on to something else but come back to every spot you've fished, you have to cross paths with the schools, but once you do it can get good quick. The Red will probably fish nearly the same. Another factor that will come into play is recreational boaters on the weekends, the Ouachita doesn't like the pressure, but you can still have a good day before the skier's get started.
