I bet that felt like trying to reel in an anchor on 10-pound line with a spinning rod,
The fish she caught was 12 pounds, 3 ounces and the official record is the biggest largemouth bass ever caught in the 12-pound line class.
Powell shared that the IGFA has different line classes that include 4, 8, 12 and 16-pound line classes. Powellโs fish was caught on a 10-pound Seaguar Red Label line but Powell said, โthe way that line actually tests, it actually tests up to 12 pounds.โ

I've seen this lady angler before in Bass Angler Magazine and maybe Bassmasters. She has submitted pics of her fish catches and they used her pics amongst other fisherman who caught quality fish. Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great fish.

That's a women line class record but over all there been a lot of bass that size caught in that category.
I have a 12.9 and 12.5 caught and landed on spinning outfits both spooled with 8lb maxima both on jigs. Ive been using 4,6,8,10lb maxima for years now. Best line you can use on big bass.

I realize that but IGFA doesn't have a 10lb class category 2,4,6,8,12,14,16 ect
IGFA established a fresh water separate from salt water and at that time created women's and men's line classes
This isn't the largest LMB ever caught in 12lb line class.
It a woman's line class not a d over all line class record.
She was using segar red label 10lb test.
