Are you guys setting up a third head unit to keep mapping separate? Or toggling one of your units between mapping and graphing?
Seems like from what I've seen on most boats, 2 units is primarily what's being used - but toggling between mapping and graphing seems like it could be frustrating when you're fishing say a ledge, creek channel, etc. and trying to stay on a contour line.
Thanks for the tips!

Ben….you need 4. Maps, 360, panoramic mode on the 3rd, and forward on the 4th.
….you also need a second, stern mounted trolling motor to control the direction of the boat when spot locked.
….two separate 36v lithiums, one per troller, then a lithium battery for the graphs and a lithium for the motor.
Don’t forget the fishing poles.
Eat. Sleep. Fish.

I don't have 360, but am running two FFS setups, and do find when I am using both I miss viewing the map when working spots at the bow. I am not 100% sold on the need for two FFS units, and am still experimenting with it. But if I do keep this setup, I probably will look at adding a 3rd unit... I actually already have the unit available, but 3 12" units on the bow of a ZX225 seem like if would be awfully crowded. I currently have BBT dual stack, and the offer a 3-unit conversion kit for it, but I am pretty sure the right lower unit will stick out quite a bit. On wider bow boats it's not as much an issue, and most pro boats seem to have 3 on the bow now by default.
really would like to find some ZX225 pics with 3 on the bow, but there probably aren't that many out there lol...

No need to toggle between screens when you can see the contour on the 360/FFS. I typically just save a waypoint for my spot lock. Since my TM is linked to the HB, I just tell the TM to spot lock at that waypoint. Otherwise, I just work up to a spot with either the 360/FFS and when I see what I'm looking for, that's when I spotlock. With Garmin and HB you have a favorite button so all you have to do is push a button to see the map, then push one button to go back. Its not worth it to me to add another graph just to see the map.

I run mapping on the same screen with my 360, 30/70 split map/360. My garmin is set to 100% FFS. I can see plenty of contours on a 30% screen, but I also have a 15" screen, though I doubt a 12" screen would too small.
Its funny, I remember watching TV across the game room on a 26" tube tv and being able to see every detail just fine. Now that I am used to 60+" TVs I feel like I have to be on top of anything less than 45" just to tell what show I am watching.

I thought about that split as well...but didn't know how that would look on a 12" screen which is what I would be running the 360 on. This is great advise! And likely what I'll end up doing...both to save $ and keep the deck clutter to a minimum. Thank you!

But most of the time just 360 and FFS as stated you can identify the contours anyway.

Helix 10 running Mega 360 with split screen for map, Garmin 1022 for Livescope. Sure I'd like bigger screens, but hell it is all paid for and I am okay with what I have.
