I mostly bank fish on lakes. I had trouble trying to find some eater channel cats. Where should I look in this summer weather? Are they out deep, or shallow? Maybe in the coves? Also, should I look for rocky or grassy bottom?

I had success using worms earlier in the year, and the usual spots have no bites now, even using live worms.

It's usually best to find spots with a mix of grassy and rocky bottoms, as cats like to hide in vegetation and also find small prey in the rocks. This time of year you'll likely find them in the shallower coves and points, as cats like to stay in warmer water. Bait-wise, worms are usually a safe bet. If that's not working, might try some stink bait, as it can draw in a lot of interest when other methods sometimes fail.

I wont be able to do night fishing. But I can do sunrise and evening. And the times in between.
