The trolling motor battery won't hold a charge.

Your trailer tires have trouble keeping air.

You spend 45 minutes and go to THREE different gas stations to put gas in your boat.

The 2 for a dollar hot dogs at the convenience store smell great....., but they are out of buns.

You are about to launch and realize the %$##ing keys to the boat are at home!!!

But alas, the lovely wife offers to meet you halfway to the lake with the boat keys and promises nothing but a full livewell after the day from he!!.

After 45 minutes on the lake, the torrential downpour and lightning too close to argue with chase you off the lake.

Friday the 13th has nothing on July 22nd!!

At least we got a few minutes on the lake; those tiny yellow bass were our only saving grace.

Britton, can you think anything else? I'm pretty sure I covered it all.

Disclaimer: This is only sarcasm at it's finest. Any day that I can get out and enjoy the lake is great, but Britton and I agreed after the fact we should have admitted defeat all along!

Now that was funny -- got all the bad Mojo out of the way in ONE trip

We had pulled the tarp, just finished loading the boat and walked outside with the cooler. Had to answer the phone and by the time I was ready to get in the truck we could hear the thunder...tarped the boat and had ice cream instead

Ahhh now July 22, didn't ent absolutely bad, try hearing thunder as you lose the biggest Hybrid you've ever seen, then watching lightening strike as you approach a ramp with a 1 hour and 15 minute line to pull the boat out of the water. All the time the skies are getting darker and darker.

Fly and I went out and caught 3 nice hybrids, and countless sandies, and JUST as we start hitting hybrids we hear thunder off in the distance...

Nothing like having to call out "When YOUR done with the net I need it."

Todd, you forgot that we got stuck behind a train in the same spot twice when we were going back to get the boat keys. Next trip should be AWESOME! I just went home and went to bed. With the way things were going I was afraid I would hurt myself somehow.

Now that's definately a sign to stay home

Not the dreaded WIPER BACKLASH!!!!!

That day happened to me on Fork back in April. We were about 3 miles back in a creek where there were no other boats(even at fork there are a few places like that in the spring). Our trolling motor died and we basically said lets head back to the house. We had two full gas tanks two weekends before and my first one just ran out. I switched tanks and found out that someone sifened that tank(nothing else could explain it). Me and my dad set there for an hour with no one in site. I finally le the boat drift to land(hitting stump after stump). I knew of a gas station about a mile away so started walking. I ended up buying a few gallons and it was enough to get us back.
