Anyone research the new Ultrex "quest" series that are brushless motors? Looking like MSRP is approx $4000.

Apparently no one has learned to use the original Ultrex, so any amount of research isnt enough, eeks

I wouldn't buy one until it has been out for awhile, let them find all the bugs first. It is just to compete with other brushless trolling motors.

Just because someone uses it every day, doesnt mean you know how to use it to its potential. The "N" button is a prime example.

I have forgotten more about Ultrex’s than most people will ever learn. I’ve had it for 8 years and have rebuilt every part of it at least once. Some parts several times. Of course I know what the stupid N button does. I also know everything about the touch screen remote and all its functions.

The gripe is the placement of the N button. Everyone knows what the stupid button does. They know because it’s the least used feature on the trolling motor and the most accidentally activated feature. Just a dumb feature to be so prominently placed in the pedal.

Must have been the first one sold.
I use the N button often. Would much rather hit it accidently than the spot lock. bolt
