Is selling a legend v20 twice as hard since they were sold or is the used market for boats just that bad right now. Maybe both?

I just think its hard to sell a Legend right now. Other used boats seem to do well if they are in good shape.

No warranty on boat or motor and gator hull don’t help.

If you think that Legend is hard to sell, wait until you try to sell the Vexus.
Interest rates are high and the price is up there for an older boat. You’re too rich for the poor and too poor for the rich.
Edit: I see a lot of things in the classifieds that aren’t selling, that should have already sold. Definitely not a great economy for many of us.

Covid money is drying up. This is definitely part of the equation whether you’re blaming people’s cash fund or interest rates. Free money to non working [censored] and business loans to [censored] businesses that just raise a hand do a lot to change an economy.

Legend is the Hydrosport of the 2010’s. Why would you want a boat with no factory support? It was a good platform and preforming boat. But it’s been put to pasture Unless it was a great deal. (Not a good one!). I’d pass

"Actually we did buy an extended warranty. I will look up the expiration date" your words. If you have an extended warranty that is a big benefit. I would list that info right away. If you got the boat back from the detailer, then I would add the picks with the graphs pronto. Also, what model graphs? Is the Lowrance a HDS gen3 touch or a Carbon or better yet newer model like Live or Pro. You have the newer Garmin livescope transducer which is great, but you don't mention or have a pic of the graph and size. How old are the batteries? What starting battery and what brand and model charger, take a pic of the battery compartment. If the batteries are newer, emphasize that because nothing worse than a buyer having to spend big bucks on 4 batteries after just purchasing the boat unless they get a steal of a deal. Are you going to do a compression test and provide to buyer or do you want the buyer to do it? Your motor is key, with 550 hours. You have a nice looking boat from the pics, but I would suggest you add anything to your description that would be of benefit to the prospective buyer. If you have replaced tires in the last year or two then I would mention that. If every switch, light, pump, etc. works like it suppose to than I would mention that as well. How long have you owned the boat? Do you have receipts for maintenance records? When was the Gator Hull done and why? You can't do anything about the fact that Legend Boats doesn't exist, but you can take as much guess work out of the equation for a prospective buyer. Anything you've done to fix a problem or make an upgrade to your boat helps eliminate a negative someone might have about your boat. If you recently replaced a pump on the power pole then that is one less thing a buyer has to worry about going wrong. I hope this info helps you with your sale.

there was no real market for them when they were being built they didnt ever get to where they built over 2 boats a day . that is why white river never got excited about building them all they wanted was the building an the workforce in place to build tritons which they had market share an orders for. there has been so many boats sold at high prices the last 2 years it has messed up the market for the future. if you are trying to sell a boat at this time it is a degree of difficulty because some folks fall in love with the nada book if you look into it some of the boats that are 2 or 3 years old are still valued at new price. the interest rates hurt sales also .

good luck used boat market is tough, 40-60k boats are hard because no one has cash for em and no one wants a high used interest rate.
