We went striper fishing this week at Lake Ouachita with David Cochran. We fished with David’s dad George day one and with David the second day. The striper we caught were in the 13-20 lb range. Biggest one was caught by my wife and it weighed just over 20 lbs. We had our limits by 6:45 each morning.

Beautiful lake, big fish and great guides. If y’all want to hear the drag on a reel spin, call David for a trip. We will be going back for sure this fall.

David normally stays 5 months out to book a trip ! Has that changed ??

He said he is typically 3 months out. I called about 45 days out and got lucky that he had 2 mornings open in the middle of the week. He is booked every weekend forever seems like. Fishes every day from March - mid August.

Stayed at Mountain Harbor Resort, nice place to stay on the water.
