What is your go to lure for top water fishing? Do you spend the big $$ on certain name brand over another and why? I usually use a frog but we all know the hookup rate on them isn't all that great but sure is fun. And then it's usually a whooper plopper second.

Since we are not talking about frogs I will go with the Megabass Diamante.....incredibly underrated and is a blast to fish. Second would be a Megabass Pop Max.

Just something about both of those lures that seems to get a lot of bites.

About $7 from quite a few Japanese online shops but I can’t say I’ve ever lost a topwater anyways…they float

The JDM original Dog X, and Dog X quickwalker are sleepers too that not too awful many people in America throw

For you guys throwing a whopper plopper, try the Choppo. I like the plopper but the Choppo is the deal. Put a snap swivel on the medium sized one and keep the rod tip high until about halfway in. The small one is a fish catching machine too but the hooks are WAY too small. It just sounds so much better than a plopper.
