this has been the most accurate site with all the storms lately as far as long term. storms all day from the looks of it now. give it 15 mins. and they may have snow and ice in the forecast any more.

Looks like Rayburn tournaments have been watered down with new circuits the last few years killing the numbers down there.

Too many big tournaments scheduled on the same weekend at multiple lakes this year has kept numbers down at Sam Rayburn. TTT, Brandon Belt, ABA, Bass Champs Outlaw outdoors etc. I had planned on fishing the shootout prior to it moving to Fork. Only reason I would have fished is I would have been fishing at Rayburn anyway why not enter.

Sure it does… Rayburn is not fishing good at all. Maybe the local mafia is still smackin em from time to time but overall the lake blows. Not something I would drive 250 miles to fish right now for sure. You can thank Bassmaster for making #1 for a few years, even the mighty Rayburn can’t stand up to that deal. Toledo is the better of the two fisheries out there right now hands down, IMO. But it’ll cycle back around in a couple years.

Guys, fishing has dropped off at all the lakes I've hit for the last year. Bottom line is Covid got way more people out on the water and the tournaments have gotten too large in numbers and too frequent. My home lake is Palestine and the quality of fish, that I have caught, has dropped off tremendously in the last year. I captain a high school bass team and we can place in the top 50 if we can catch 1 keeper in most tournaments and I don't see it getting any better. Enjoy your time on the water and take a kid fishing!
