Sad. Man what a tough decision to be out in a kayak with the systems that have been rolling through the last 2 weeks. Prayers out the fisherman and the family.

Sad. Four kids. They almost never say whether the body had a PFD strapped to it. My guess is NOT. When you cheat on safety, you're only cheating yourself(and the survivors). Plus, the searchers, risking their well-being, hunting for your body. IslandJim

The same thing just happened in Washington, but the water is still cold there so he definitely should have had a lifejacket:

Lifejackets are cheap. State Parks have them. They can be ordered and delivered easily. Go to the sporting goods store and buy them.
Its so simple to protect your life.
