I'll be up there the week of July 4th. I will have my wife, two girls (5&9), and my retired mom. What are some must do things in the area? We are looking at a rafting trip for sure, but what else y'all got and places to eat?

Run up to Red River. Awesome little alpine village with restaurants, live music, go carts, and a great place to rent UTV's for numerous mountain off roading trails. Fishing is great at Red River, The Cimmaron River (very technical), or Eagles Nest Lake. Rafting will most likely be on the other side of The Enchanted Circle on the Rio Grande. Golf at the Angel Fire Resort, and all the hiking you could ever wish for.

Thanks, we are scheduled for a rafting trip, and may have to check out the fishing.

The zip line is a good ride.
Lots of trails in town and they usually have bands the play different nights during the week.
I heard the road in Red River are under construction and traffic is worse than normal.
Have a great trip.

The ski lift will take you up to the restaurants up on the mountain in Red River. You may see some Elk. Discount for military and first responders.
We r going to RR in august for the music festival and cook off.
