Where do they get placed on the FX live well lids?

They usually work best in the lids

But seriously, it really depends. I have them on my ZX, and it just depends on year and how your lids are arranged... Skeeter has gone from "open to side" to "open to back" and back to "open to side" depending on year and model. Mine are open to side, but it looks like the FXR depending on year had both configs. You want to center them up in the livewell opening best you can, but that doesn't mean center of the lid due the offset hole/lid. On my "open to side" ZX lids I had to install them outboard of the latches and slighty aft, since my livewell openings are offset to that direction. But if you have "open to rear" lids then it will likely be different, more likely outboard of the latches still, but more centered up.

mine I installed on a 2019 zx190 skeeter and I love them . No big deal to install
