Losing spot lock, and stiff/slow turning to the right. What say the brain trust? Is there someone reputable I can take it to in the Garland, Plano, Mckinney area?

Steering sensor probably going out. It's a $100 part and a pretty easy DIY fix. Or you could take it to Zach Ziober at Southwest Marine Electronics. He can fix it.

It could be foot pedal related- it senses too much resistance and kicks out of spot lock, it doesn’t take much

Friend just had this happen less than a month ago. Steering sensor panel in foot pedal was it as Red Raider said. Easy fix he did it himself.

Call Zach @ Southwest Marine Electronics in Dallas.

He can sometimes fix stuff on the spot if he has the parts in stock

Mine started doing same thing this weekend.
I would hit spot lock and it would spin around, aim back at the big motor, beep and lose spot lock….??

Did you get the new one free based on your Ultrex model number?

Unless your pedal is locking up, it’s just Probably a cable or wire making contact with pedal when the head swings all the way around. The slightest touch to any part of the pedal put you out of spot lock. Adjust your steering cable position a little and it should solve that
