Got an advert from Nako promoting their "Tungsten Jika Rig," which to me looks like a modified dropshot rig with no leader. Which was my thought about the Tokyo Rig when that came out a couple years back.

I haven't fished either of those hook/weight combos. Are there appreciable differences between the above mentioned rigs and a similarly set up dropshot, and if so, are they fished differently?

Jika rig with a craw can mimic crayfish really well. I don't consider it drop shot. It punches well too.

It's a style of a drag and drop rig. Punches well, suspends the baits in a feeding position, and best of all with this rig is tough. So you can use heavier line in case it hangs up.

Hey, thanks to both of y'all for the explanations. Found several YT vids on the technique as well.

Yeah I came upon several years ago and thought it was quite a bit different and caught a few fish. The comparison for it fishing style wise is a down sized or finesse tokyo rig
