Day 1 of the BASS Elite tournament on the Sabine River starts tomorrow, June 1st. It will be interesting to see who stays close and who makes the long boat ride looking for the bigger bass. Looking forward to it.

Ironic that the most visited pro bass fishing location in Texas is literally the worst bass fishery in all of the State. Great place for redfish tournaments. Not so much for bass.

I like a tough tournament. Makes the good anglers rise to the top.

Nobody made the run to Houston, suprising with the light winds forecasted.

Caleb Sumrall is heading that way now. Hopefully it works out for him. They said he will only have 1.5 hours to fish.

I think it's because of the support and fan turnout that they get there. It's a fun place to fish to me.

Worst place for tournaments. I hate when they go there, not even interesting.

I enjoy it more than tbe smallmouth events they have. I pretty well tune it out when they head north.

Mostly a brack water tournament. A couple of 4 pounder bites makes a huge difference.
