I was also a 79

I showed up most of the time my Senior year...had enough credits to graduate so I wasn't worried. The vice principal decided I need to help load diplomas in the van...his idea of punishment for my attitude I guess...:) i load the boxes and when I got to the 'T's" I found my diploma. He got all bent out of shape at me and I told him FU and left. i figured I was gonna get drafted so I wasn't too worried about what some jumped up HS principal liked or wanted...:)

Told my Dad what I'd done and said and he just rolled his eyes and said well try and not get arrested tonight for doing something stupid with your buddies...:) Off to the partys at Shasta Lake....for the next 3 days. House boats and water skiing...beer and bikinis. Oh and I did go to graduation....and just smiled at the VP when I collected my diploma. I went because my Dad asked me too and I did not want to disappoint him. He had my back then and in the years to come. I had an a good Dad.

I don't recall, but I'm sure we partied somewhat or drag raced, then partied. Had a 66 El Camino at the time that I supported with a full time job senior year.

walked then went to a buddies house who's parents allowed us to have a party. Got all kinds of tore up.

Lewisville class of 94. I remember graduation, had grandparents in town I had dinner with. Don't remember much after I left them.

Nope because I knew I’d have real accomplishments. Graduating HS wasn’t and still isn’t that big of a deal except in Marlin, Texas 😁

Nope, but have no doubt my brother-in-law does. He peaked in high school and loves reliving it with endless stories.

Went and drank keg beer in a pasture like every other weekend of high school.

Would have been in 78 but I had my GED and had been in the USAF for over a year!

Remember it very well. Pulled into my HS parking spot for the last time to graduate in May of 77. My car died about before I got pulled into my spot and wouldn`t start again or after graduation either. Had to get a ride to our senior party in the country and rode back with a friend late into the night. I haven`t seen 75% of them after that night either. The next day my car started with ease. I always wondered if someone above was watching out for me and didn`t want me driving after drinking and under the influence. About 2 weeks later the electronic ignition went out and I had it replaced.

Senior prom night, yes, graduation night, not one bit.

I had to be at SFA to take the ACT at 8:00 the next morning. It wasn't my usual super-late night.

I loved high school because I had great friends. I played golf with one of them yesterday. We've been best friends since 1972. I went to the 80th birthday party of another friend's mom last year. She was a hot 33 year old when I met her. I get together with two other childhood friends from time to time, play poker and/or golf, and have a great time.

Oh, and did I mention my wife was in my high school class?

I also had a great time in college at SFA and during the years afterward living in Nacogdoches. I've been blessed with good friends all my life.
