1 of my favorite weeks give me Spieth Why is it 1 of your fav weeks? I just looked at the field and I’m not impressed. Could it be because you’re a member or play there? My family has been involved with the tournament since 1961 My Dad helped make it the 5th major My Brother handles advertising- PR - player relationship now The Ticket is out there all day today My Brother pulled that of & the dumb Block coup I have valet parking & 4 media badges Free food & beer FnA, such a great event, enjoy Butch

Field is good but not great. Son and I went today and watched Finau, Spieth, Scheffler, Fowler, Fleetwood, Rose, Morikawa, Im, Hovland, Homa...all top 20/30 players. I heard something like 9 of the top 20 players are here in Fort Worth...that's not bad for a non-major
The reason the field is perceived to be worse (or worse according to OWGR) is because the game has become a long-ballers game and Colonial isn't a long-ballers course. Lots of the long-hitters just have no interest in coming to get beat by short-ballers. I've heard they're renovating after the tournament...don't love the idea but as long as they keep the ancient oaks as major course landmarks, I wouldn't mind some modernizing. They are eliminating a lot of trees IMHO This remodel is lame

Love the Colonial course and history you feel walking the grounds. My top golf moment in life to this point was playing that course with my brother.
Lake Worth Workingmans Tournaments Every Wednesday from April 2nd to end of August $50 entry + $10 Side Pot - 100% Payout 6pm - 9pm

I’m going to check out the sundresses and boots tomorrow myself. About 15 years ago I took my boss out there and we were standing by a skybox. I looked up to the skybox and a young lady in her sundress was up against the rail going straight commando. I told my newly married teetotaling boss to look in the skybox. He turned red, was embarrassed and acted like he had just cheated on his wife. He may not still be over that moment. So you’ll never know what you’ll see at the Colonial, especially the par 3 13th hole.

I think in golf they call it a course You’ve obviously never played at Buster’s in Longview.
