Edit - I’m not sure what’s going on but I got below email at 2:59 pm today. I commented right after I read the email and voiced my support. Again.
I checked the link just now and the window for online comment closed at 5 pm today.
Strange as this is first email from her since this deal was brought to light as happening and 2 hrs notice to comment and have it heard?

original:
I know this has been cussed and discussed, but one more email can't hurt.
I just got this just a little while ago.

Jon,
Fairfield Lake State Park is in immediate danger of closure. Act now to save it!

Tomorrow at 9am – the Texas Park and Wildlife Commission is meeting to consider authorizing the State’s acquisition of the land. This MUST happen to save our beloved park!

Click this link NOW and express your strong support for Texas to acquire the park: Save Fairfield Lake State Park Save Fairfield Lake State Park

You can also email jason.estrella@tpwd.texas.gov to make your opinion heard. Your voice matters.

This meeting is at 9am tomorrow. Time is of the essence! Share this message with others who care. Together, we can make a difference. Act swiftly to protect Fairfield Lake State Park.

Thank you!
Sincerely,

Angelia Orr
Your Conservative State Representative

Save The Park

You realize that “Thursday, May 23” doesn’t exist…right? Thursday is the 25th.

That will probably be the states excuse…”oh, we got our dates mixed up, our “bad””.

Is it a sign of how easy it is to catch fish on a small lake when all the fishermen within 200 miles of it are mad it's being closed?

if todd is moving dirt the deal is done now the political posturing. todd wouldnt be making improvements if the deal didnt go their way if you are going to make that kind of investment you wouldnt be letting the general public in with a 5 buck pass. with total control of the property they could do it like squaw creek an limit the number of folks an times they could go.

they were shredding brush in January, so it looks as if this thing may just be click bait by a local representative to try and save face on the park being "lost"

It was just a politician trying to act like she did something. If the bill had passed, Todd interest would have needed the approval of two state agencies to change the Lake Fairfield permit from Industrial use to something else. It may have prevented the selling of water which is a long shot anyway.
