I don’t see how. For years and years there have been fishermen in boats, fishing brush piles and other structure. For years and years, crappie have seen every lure or bait known to man. The only thing that’s changed is now we can see the fish. Still can’t make them bite if they aren’t in the mood.

True, but I think over time with all the electronics, crappie are seeing more and more jigs in their face, they are wising up, harder to trick them...

I don't think live scope is educating the crappie, it is educating us. We are seeing more of what affects the crappie bite.

Crappie don’t live long enough here to get educated IMO. They see jigs all the time but unless they get caught, they really don’t know what that jig means

Crappie don’t live long enough here to get educated IMO. They see jigs all the time but unless they get caught, they really don’t know what that jig means When you trick a crappie to bite your jig, and they spits it out because it is not food, it is harder to immediately trick him again, he is on to your trick. Come back later you will have a better chance at tricking him again.

Most shad don’t sit there waiting to get eaten and the fish missing the jig triggers them to chase harder.

Our buddies from S La used to say "Dey feel da beam bro!" We laughed about that for a while but I think there's something to it now. It might not all be the livescope but I can sure tell you I see the effects of fishing pressure on the crappie! Go to Grenada or Darbonne on a tournament weekend and you will see it. I watch those Darbonne videos on here and never see fish act like that there! When there's 100 of the best crappie anglers beating up a lake for a week it shows! We cast to them at 40-50 feet and they might follow it 20 feet before they bite! And Grenada fish run nonstop changing directions in the spring. My 2 cents anyhow.

Fish have no level of intelligence and are reactionary. If they are hungry they will bite. Otherwise you are tricking them to react and they bite. I don't think jigs in there face make any difference. Bass have seen every lure thrown at them for years non stop and they still bite. Just my 2 cents...

Back in the 60's and seventies, long before lowrance and Hummingbird, we fished Sardis and Enid. I can remember the old retired coots around the lake would say they don't fish on weekends because the fish are not hitting very hard or just ain't where they are during the week. That was mainly jon boats with nothing bigger than a ten hp motor. Now we can see the fish are swimming off or just won't hit. Like I said before, live scope is educating us.

Hickory Nut and Fishkiller pegged it for me. Take a 50,000 acre enclousure and turn loose 300 4 wheelers racing around for 6-8 hours and see how the wildlife reacts. They will run and hide and won't eat due to fright. Fish are showing us they react accordingly also.
