My arm and hands are still cramping but I’m not complaining about it.
I could not fish for the rest of summer. 36 DD striper in the net. Big one on the trash can lid was a solid 13. Everything I caught was between 10.5 and 13. Everything I caught was over 24”. Except for the random catfish.
It was insane. When I’d get one of those fish to the boat there would be a herd of huge fish along with it. I’m only guessing but I think they were waiting for the fish with the lure to drop it so they could snatch it. Would have loved to get a pic of that.
All were caught on a major lake point in 27-28’. Water temp varied from 75 up to 81 at its highest. When it was miserably still is when I had all my luck. Very late in the day the wind picked up and the bite turned off. Left the lake at 6. Could have left at 4.
There’s only so many pics you can take of the same fish over and over but here’s a few.

Fantastic fish and ketching , and with a flutter spoon undressed ! The first I've seen from Tawakoni or heard of !

Awesome trip! A day you will never forget! We had aday like that on tawakoni probably 12 years ago and remember it like yesterday. Dead calm slick and no other boats around and every striper in the lake under the boat. We only had 13 DD…36 incredible!!!
