Agree, just buy Homemade Vanilla and put a scoop in authentic Dr. Pepper.

Whataburger makes those with Dr. Pepper syrup, so it’s made with Dr. Pepper. If Blue Bell is using Dr. Pepper syrup, that’s different. I stand by my belief that things not made with Dr. Pepper syrup made to taste like Dr. Pepper don’t taste good.

One of the guys bought a 1/2 gallon today at the station. It's actually pretty decent. Not my favorite Blue Bell flavor bits not bad.

I have not tried it but I know a few people that have and they've said it was really good

It ain’t that hard, cheap Walmart vanilla ice cream and big bottle of DP………….let’s do a taste test!

They are using the Dr Pepper name and logo on the packaging. My guess is they are using the real stuff, otherwise they’d be dealing with all kinds of trademark violations.

I’ll disregard the true, real sugar Dublin Dr Pepper superiority over the HFCS Dr Pepper for now;
But, if you were to sample Dr Pepper out of the fountain machines at ten different fast food locations, you will detect variations in syrup vs soda concentrations and taste.

Mixing in an established candy/beverage into an ice cream and calling it a new flavor is lazy and rarely works well (see Snickers ice cream flavors). Oreo Cookies and cream may be an exception to this general rule. I do understand why Blue Bell is doing this; they still have a reputation problem, so mixing in Texas’ favorite beverage with the once legendary Homemade Vanilla should help mend their brand image.
