Thinking about getting all my electronics and TM upgraded. I want it done right. Does anyone know a place or someone they would suggest in or around the Houston area? Thanks in advance.

G&S Trolling Motors would probably be your best bet around Houston. But if you really want it done right I'd do some research (BBC is a good place to start), block off a weekend, and do it yourself. My experience has been that "mechanics and riggers" always claim they do it right but when you have a problem you find out they didn't.

I've managed to install a number of graphs, transducers, trolling motors, GPS pucks, etc over the years and I'm just a regular dude. You can do it! Or call G&S.

I agree, do it yourself. May take longer, but when you have an issue ull be glad.

Remember "done right" is subjective and up for interpretation. What do you consider "done right"?

I do my own work, that way I know where things are! And if it does not work right, I cuss the sorry guy who did it when I am shaving his ugly mug.

Doing your own does help troubleshoot any thing later. Of course you might be the reason it needs trouble shooting in the first place….lol. I do all my own. I am pretty meticulous on what I do on my boat. I have been known to do some things several times before I like it.
