Cliffshot, Windbreaker (Eric), and I fished with SeaPro Todd in his boat from 9 AM to 5:30 PM. Todd checked out most of the usual spots, but they were not holding fish. He found them at two places - one near Anchor Point in 24 to 29 fow, which we visited twice, and the other near Greenville Pump Station in 13.5 fow. All of us caught lots of fish at these spots. We caught a good mixture of magnum and average-size white bass, 6 short hybrids, 37 yellow bass, and 8 catfish. At the deep spot, we fished vertically and caught them on Mepps #4, Mepps look alike, Gay Blade, and Bo Blade. At the shallow spot, we caught the most on Mepps #4. At both places, I alternated between Mepps #4 and Bo Blade. The fish were less aggressive than at Cedar Creek yesterday, and they did not bite the BoBlade as readily as the Mepps #4 or the Gay Blade. Near Greenville Pump Station we were catching fish every cast with a Mepps and catching fish about every other cast with the Bo Blade. I have much more experience with the Mepps, so that could account for much of the difference. I will continue to test and evaluate the Bo Blade. Many thanks to Todd for putting us on fish, and he will add pictures of the trip.

Congratulations on a once-in-a-lifetime day of fishing. Thanks for posting, guess I need to make a trip over there to see if I can find any.

This was a bucket list trip for me. I got to fish tawokoni, which I had never done, and I got to fish with some TFF legends. It was a great experience, very humbling at times, but full of fellowship and learning. The picture with Dennis, Cliff and I where my fish was “photoshopped” in was how much of the afternoon was going for me. I was watching them catch 6 or 7 to my 1 or 2. I spent a lot of time watching and learning.

On the 3 hour drive home, I had lots of time to reflect on how humility can be a great teacher. I’ve always been one who tried to learn from others when something they do works better than what you are doing. Whether it be a legend that you are fishing with or someone who works for you, always be willing to learn and apply what you find. Pride can be your biggest obstacle.

I’m so grateful for this opportunity and look forward to our next fishing adventure! Thanks again SeaPro, Cliffshot, and Dennis!!

Windbreaker, I appreciate someone who is willing to learn like you, and don't short-change yourself - you held your own in the deep verticle fishing. I once took out a guide (who I will not name) who had seen my DMN article and wanted to come "learn" the Mepps technique. Well, we fished for a couple of hours and I demo'd the technique, but instead of trying the technique himself, the guide tried to outfish me with a slab and never cast a Mepps one time even though I caught 10 to his one. If I had known that he wasn't going to even try the Mepps, I would not have taken him out.

No doubt, Eric, if we came to your home lake and fished, the experience would be reversed. We enjoyed fishing with you and hearing you share your varied fishing experiences. We look forward to many future trips together.

LOL Striper Express Chris! I even brought good Buc-ees sandwiches cuz you need energy to pull up that many fish and to make sure no one goes hangry lol. My job was to find the fish and they wind em, and even unhook em and i I didn't have to do much. They are ideal clients. And buddies! cheers

I was seeing the update texts from Todd that day! We have a Lake House here. My plan was to run out. Say hi to you all. Work got in the way. This is such a great fishing lake. God is great. So is fishing! Well done my friends.
