Lol, I’m 46 and built our first house in 2004 for $110k. Of course, I did 60% of the labor for free.

Things have gone crazy over the years. I remember growing up and working at the Ford dealer in1979 thru1981 while in High School. If a vehicle came on the lot and had a sticker price over $10,000 we all went and looked at it to see what it had on it. Power windows, power door lock, sun roof, 8-track…..lol. There wasn’t any leather interior. Now I want a new truck and it’s $85k. I can afford it but it’s hard to pull the trigger on it. I didn’t mind financing it when money was cheap. Now the rates and price is up so you get hit on both ends.. My credit score is 824. I can buy what I want and get the best interest rate. That’s not good right now. I don’t want to stick cash in it this close to retirement.

I saw a add for a new Majek 22 Extreme yesterday at $90k. My Extreme is coming up on three years old. I paid $50k for it and put another $8k in it to get the same thing that boat had on it. It’s all gone up pretty crazy. The last few years the level of increase seems significantly higher than usual.

Those growing up better learn how to make a bunch of money. If your making less than $100k right now your behind the game. Lots of younger couples I know making $250k and spending every bit of it….lol.
