Fished FCL with Tomrom today from daybreak until around 4 pm. Tom is out of action due to trailer issues similar to the ones I had last year....so we joined forces today. Around 1:30 I asked TR to check the RADAR because it was starting to look ominous. Tom (the weatherman) informed me not to worry because the storm was "Going around us". Well...It poured on us hard from 2 until when we left at 4...At least I learned that I had an automatic bilge pump in my boat.. Anyway, we ended up with 49 bass & 37 Sunfish for the day. No real big bass but one over 4 & a few 3-4 pounders. Also had one pretty good size Tilapia. All the sunfish were caught on Gulp Alive Minnows & the bass were caught on an assortment of cranlbaits, Ned Rigs & 1/4 oz jigs with Yum Dingers. The lake was not too crowded today...actually after 2 pm we had the lake all to ourselves.

Did you offer the tilapia to the cast netters? Nice report.

Side Note: Fished the Atascosa River yesterday. Hot, humid, and no rain. River is in good condition from resent rains.

Bill...Did not...I was a little peeved at the netters yesterday because they were working one of my favorite bass spots real hard.
Thanks Yesenia & Leo...Don't really mind fishing in the rain if there is no lightening...that was not the case yesterday, but we were stuck a long way from the ramp when it hit.

Yes. Don't hire me as a weather forecaster. Haha. It rained so hard there at one time I could hardly see Steve in the front of the boat. We definitely were the last to vehicles in the parking lot. I had a great time with you yesterday Steve.

Was there yesterday as well but got off the water when the [censored] hit at 2:00. Got hailed on not far from the lake. We had a great day on the water, 60+, never fished around anyone!

Also heard later there was a tornado nearby, not sure where though.
