We re-open all those facilities where we used to keep the mentally ill people confined. And guess which side/political party caused those facilities to be closed.

Guess which side/political party cut over $200 million from mental health services in the state of Texas last year?

Imagine how far that $34B that was ain't to Ukraine would go towards mental health in the US?

🤟🏼👍🏻

Abbott would have probably cut that, as well.

We are low with regards to caring about violence in general. Sorry if that came out wrong.

These shootings are evil. It's not the gun, it's the evil. What is creating these evil people? Shooting children is demonic.

I have a brother who is a paranoid bi-polar schizophrenic. Has been in and out of mental hospitals. Attempted suicide, kidnapped his children, assaulted and tried to kill my parents (with a knife) He is on some heavy medication, that he has to go and get shots for every 2 weeks. the last person in the world that needs to be armed. I guarantee you he could legally have his hands on a gun in 24 hours.

What about Range Rovers

Luckily Rovers in general break down before they have a chance to harm anyone- they must be the equivalent of some fancy 1911….😜

I guess the one in Brownsville didn't get the memo

Also let's be more honest . Abbott cut a total $200M oved the past two years from Texas Department of State Health Services which is a department that oversees a ton of health related services. Mental health is just one area that they oversee and nothing says all $200M came from mental health funding alone. To say so is being disingenuous.
Also that $200M cut was then put towards the border situation which your side refuses to address in any meaningful manner.

Not legally if he filled out the documentation properly and answered the questions truthfully.

Gun laws make you safer?
Let's look at gun laws. In Mexico. You can only own a weapon, especially a handgun with a federal permit, which takes at least two years to obtain. And it must be bought from the only gun store in Mexico, located in Mexico city. Serious jail time trying to bring a weapon into Mexico, you'll be in prison for years.

So, like every other gun law ever created, it made good people helpless, and made bad people invincible. All of the countries with high murder rates also have restrictive gun laws. Go blow it out your exhaust, gun laws do not equal safety. And to add insult to your stupid argument, if you took the democrat run cities out, New York, Chicago, LA and Detroit, the US would be in the top three.

71% of Americans say gun laws should be stricter, including about half of Republicans, the vast majority of Democrats and a majority of those in gun-owning households. https://apnews.com/article/gun-violence-covid-health-chicago-c912ecc5619e925c5ea7447d36808715
