GOT ON THE WATER AT 6:30. GOT TO FISH WITH FRIEND RUBEN. HE WAS ON FISH AT RP EAST SIDE. WHEN THEY SLOWED DOWN WE WENT IN DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS. FOUND FISH SCHOOLING DOWN BY THE DAM, LOTS OF GOOD SIZE HYBRIDS AND SANDBASS. ALL FISH WERE CAUGHT ON CHARTREUSE SLABS AND SILVER HUMDINGERS. IN ABOUT 35-40 FT OF WATER. THIS LASTED FOR ABOUT AN HOUR THEN THE FISH SCATTERED. SEARCHED DOWN BY THE PP JETTY. FOUND FISH THERE SCHOOLING, BUT THEY WERE ALL SMALL. AT 9:30 HEADED BACK TO RP AND FOUND FISH AGAIN, NO SCHOOLS BUT THEY WERE THERE SOLID ON THE ELECTRONICS IN 10-17- FT OF WATER, AGAIN CHART SLABS WERE THE TICKET. ABOUT 10:30 FOUND FISH IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LAKE ON THE A.R. HUMP IN ABOUT 38 FT OF WATER, THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THEY STARTED SCHOOLING ALL AROUND THE HUMP, STAYED THERE TILL 11:30 CATCHING SOME GOOD HYBRIDS AND MAGNUM SANDBASS. THE WIND WAS CALM AND IT WAS CLOUDY, THIS MADE FOR A GREAT DAY FISHING. THE CLOUD COVER SHOULD LAST FOR SEVERAL DAYS ACCORDING TO THE WEATHER REPORT. RUBEN IT WAS GOOD FISHING WITH YOU, HAD A GREAT TIME.

Champion, were you guys in the yellow tahoe? We got to the Dam's boat show a little late (bout a doozen boats) and saw a yellow tahoe in the middle of it. But caught only one there.

We went to several spots but the last one we had a blast, caught about 50, mostly keeper sizes, largest was 15" sandy, and I caugth a 17" hybrid, about 5 yrds from the shoreline. It was 20 yrds from the shore at the mid point between chandlers and 30. Glad to see everyones doing well. Kept a few good size sandies for dinner smile

Thanks to a few birds that showed us the surfacing actions.I caught all mine on chartreuse humdinger. Caught at depth 8-12ft. Temp was 85, wind was 3 mph.

I was out there also. Seapro-Todd, is your boat yellow? with a Honda? I saw that yellow tahoe too..The fishing was pretty good today, lots of big sandies and a couple of short hybrids. The birds were the key thumb

Thats right RHSFisher. What boat were you in? Thought it was gonna be another skunked day like the previous 3 trips, but then saw only 3 birds and they pointed me to the poping water. JV taught me to fish deeper for bigger fish, but the sandy would take the hook as soon as the lure hits the water...fun fun! Funny that my sonar didnt mark any fish, but didnt care as long as we were catching them. Wish I can get back out there more often.

Hehe, all the birds on RH sang "follow the yeller tahow" song when I asked them where are the fishies. So I like to be clueless too, hehe.

"MIDDLE OF THE LAKE ON THE A.R. HUMP" , from Champion Fish post at the beginning of the topic.
Sorry to be dumb guys, but what is the A.R. hump ?
I know the gravel pits, peanut, RP, Red Barn, etc, but I am curious as to what the A.R. hump is ? I fish some of the old levees in the middle of the lake, and a few humps down near the dam.........THX !!!!
