If you want to see some happy excited kids, volunteer for kid fishing events. Lake Granbury just had a big (66 kid) CAST for kids event. My wife and I volunteered to help with shore fishing and we had a great time. There were also 46 volunteers with boats that took out kids. The Brazos River Authority is also going to have an event soon. Passing on fishing to future generations is one of the best ways to preserve our sport.
