If I could make it that far that would be great. I just mainly want to sight see and if I can manage to catch a few fish thats a plus. We have a lease in Loma Alta so I figured it was about time to bring the boat.

51.56 ft low today. Dropping everyday but slowed some. We will be at the all time low again if we don't get good rains. Box Canyon has already closed one of it's lanes.

Only 3’ above where it was a year ago before it captured over 20’ of water. Will be lower than that in a week or so.

Did the bass get a chance to spawn before they pulled all the water?

Most did i'm sure, they learn to adapt. Water release just slowed to a trickle (04/27). It's about time.

We fished catfish Weds and Thurs and Diablo it had to be unless you want to haul to Rough Canyon. That hike up Diablo is still a killer. My buddy is younger than me by a year so he got the honor- TWICE! Very few fishermen out but the lake is fishable just use your GPS and be careful. The drawdown has slowed I understand. The Del Rio fellows and TMD should know more about that! We had the cleaning station to ourselves for 2 days!

Yes but hard to find the bigger fish for us. Cold front came through Weds night and the wind shift changed things up. Lot of undersize fish.

Thanks for the report. We plan to put in at rough canyon and if we don't find any bass at least we can catch a few catfish. I'm really hoping to catch my first smallmouth.
