I was wanting a 2nd or 3rd opinion from others that have had them. Or used them. Or if another brand is better

I have no experience with electric smokers.
If you like eating chicken, turkey, wings, and kebabs and don’t have a propane Big Easy, that is where I’d start with additions…with the kebab and wings accessories.
I know there are fans of electric smokers here. I do consider pellet smokers a sub category of electric smokers, and that’s what I’d get for set it and forget it. You do get some half decent smoke flavor with electric pellet smokers.

Have had my MES for many years and it's been great. Recently the electronics messed up so it only heats at the highest temp and you have to unplug it when finished otherwise it stays on.

I absolutely love my electric Cookshack Smokette. I've had it 16 years and it's always produced a great result.

I've had a MES 40 for 10 years or so and would not recommend them to anyone. The electronics crapped out several years ago and I replaced them with a PID controller off Amazon. Been trouble free ever since.

And this is exactly why I ask on here. Even with all the joking and cuttin up I had faith I could get some good advice.

I've had 3 MES units and loved everyone. Dont get a glass door as they're worthless unless you like cleaning it after every use. Get the largest one and add pellets along with wood chips.

I love my Masterbuilt. Set it & forget it, fill the water pan with cranberry, apple or your favorite juice and just add a handful of chips every 2-3 hrs. I also have a Big Easy & it roasts chickens, turkeys to perfection! Also as mentioned above, get the kebob rack, Amazon has the accesory kit for little to nothin. And I also have the rec tec bullseye deluxe model & it is amazing! https://www.amazon.com/Char-Broil-2...&hvtargid=pla-313150624060&psc=1
Reality. What a concept!

Been trouble free ever since. I'm starting to have the same problem with mine. Holding temp seems to be my issue after I added the cold smoke attachment. Pizzn me off.

I have had a Smokin Tex electric smoker for 15 years or so. I use it a least several times a month and have had very little problems. I had to replace an element once, but Smokin Tex sent me on at no charge and I installed it.
