I need some new options for country link sausage. Wife dislikes andouille, we pretty much all hate kielbasa, and hillshire farms ain't cuttin' it. Tried earl cambells -- pretty sure that was a pink goo before it was linked. So far I'll place Bruder on top but I get tired of the spice pretty quick.
What is your favorite old style country link sausage? Bud Light drinkers stay out!

If you ever travel out my way you have to stop by and pick up some Mikulik Sausage. Fresh made daily and like nothing I've ever had before.

For grocery store sausage, we buy Holmes pork and venison and the Holmes jalapeño sausage. Good price and pretty consistent quality.

Got to West and hit up all the gas stations there who sell sausage. Lots of good options.

Conecuh is some good sausage, think it is made in Alabama, have seen it in Brookshires, I am pretty much spoiled on german sausage made in Muenster by Fischers, Hess Meat, and a bunch of my family that makes it.

Slovacek is very good, as Mud pointed out...but DANG does it give me gas! I now fully understand why the Brits call it bangers and mash! Whoa!
Holmes is good for mass produced.

If you ever travel out my way you have to stop by and pick up some Mikulik Sausage. Fresh made daily and like nothing I've ever had before. You are correct it is the best there is. And their seasoning is great on steaks, pulled pork and briskets. Opas is third and it is already cooked. Number two for me is Inman's turkey sausage in Llano...

Fischers in Muenster is close enough that we make the journey probably quarterly, I feel like we spend enough there to keep their lights on.

Fischer’s is the best and Slovacek’s a distant second.

I make the trip to Fischers in Muenster for breakfast sausage several times a year. And I'm out right now. Arrgh. Fishing Roberts tomorrow so I might pick up a little @ Rumpys in Gainsville. Kubys in Dallas has the best sausage I've ever had (Venison - Chipotle - Jack). Best Stop for Boudin. This thread is making me hungry.

Locally try Eddie’s sausage at Brookshires.
It comes in smoked and jalapeño flavors.
Best I’ve found anywhere close to Longview.
