Gene and Claudia met me back at Palestine the other day. We started earlier than I have been this time of year there cause I was hoping to get on the road early for Arkansas. Well as usual, if you have plans the fish have other plans! The first 2 hours was a struggle and we had 8 fish. Regrouped and made a change and they ended the trip with 50 slabs and a bunch of fillets to take home. Fish weren’t sticking to timber good early and I still haven’t got on a good dock bite there yet. It’s coming though! We fished timber 8-20’ deep with fish anywhere from 4’ down to the bottom. 1/4oz Slab syndicate jigs in Popcycle and Gingertruce were the stars of fhe show. I’ve got an opening next week as well as a couple weekdays and even a weekend date or 2 in May left. The weather and fishing should get more consistent as the month goes on! Thanks y’all! Getting ready for day 2 of crappie Master Elites on Millwood! Sitting in 13th after day one. Weights are super tight. 13.14 on a tough post spawn bite. Had several good fish not bite yesterday. Raining and windy today. We will need to do better for sure but that’s gonna be a challenge! I’m not ever sure if we will be able to fish where we want to but that’s tournament fishing!!!

Always nice to have repeat customers, it Sir beats training from zero with the new clients.....I see so many take the jig away from the fish after getting the boat in position and have to say go left a thousand times per trip with some new clients.....LOL

Little man wanted to go snatch some the other evening! I told him if he would stay on he deck and put 25 in the boat we would go!! He got it done fairly quick!! Had some good ones!! I live May!!

Trying to lower the lake level enough to shoot docks but 50 at a time just isn’t cutting it!! We’re casting to fish with Jenko Trick Sticks on 12lb K9 using 1/4oz gingertruce Slab Syndicate jigs up front! The Shad spawn is wide open and a lot of the fish are high in the trees so staying off fhem 20-30’ is really helping to get bit! I’ve still got some May and June dates left! I probably won’t fish much in July and August! I’m getting picky in my old age!!
