It requires a special “c” notched tool to remove that lock collar…I’ve seen guys use pliers but it will mess up the reel…haven’t been able to locate one of those tools in a while

Ok, thanks for the info. Looks like i won’t be servicing the drags but they r working fine now thankfully!

I have always liked the whole idea of the rear drag setup, they just never really did much though. That rig in a 6000 series for size and a hefty drag would be a great reel though. I feel the pita to try and service that rig though.
