I think it would be nice to have the Wolf's Chili with the original recipe used when they were headquartered in Corsicana many years ago. Sold out to a big corporation and of course the quality of the product has been suffering since then.

A cup of Wendy's chili and a baked potato makes a good lunch!
If the chili coming to stores is $4.99 a can, that's fine, but it better be a big can, one that feeds a family of 4!
The Wendy's chili, beans and all, is very good!

... Thanks Dan. I am right there with you buddy! Do you like Gold Star as well? I do like it also but Skyline seems better to me, not sure why I just prefer it over GS. I know that is a hot debate in your area. You like one or the other not both ha ha.
For me some of it is nostalgia as well. People underestimate how our emotions connect to food so deeply.
Example I had many co-workers who became close friends in the Cincinnati area. Had some great times visiting them. We would do work in the day and then go out at night drinking, or go to a Reds game, that kind of stuff and every night ended with some Skyline. Great times. Now when I fix my little homemade 4 way with my can of Skyline it kind of reminds me of those times I had with all my pals up there!
Just like how a can of Coke from a cooler reminds me of my Dad. My mom used only let us kids have one can of Soda a week, but my old man would always sneak one in his cooler on the nights I had little league practice and let me have it on the way home... dont tell Mom or your brother or sister though... This is secret Coke lol.
True story. I prefer Skyline but Gold Star will do in a pinch without hesitation... Plus Gold Star has sort of lost it way. They're into hamburger, salads, double deckers, chicken, and mexican... Stay with what you're good at and leave the rest to other restaurants... If you ever get back ask them to take you to Camp Washington Chili, that's some awesome Cincinnati chili also. They were featured in a NY TImes Road Food Feature a few years back. Still family owned, started in 1951 and the owners still show up everyday. Food has a way of doing that. Growing up we went out to eat once a month, 8 kids made for a tight budget. Dad would get home and we'd all pile into the station wagon and Dad would drive to the various places to pay the water bill, electric bill and whatever else. We always ate at Skyline, that's when we got our soda and a three way... To this day I always order a 3-way, cheese coney w/ onions and a Rootbeer... Dan

This is the only chili I buy in a can. It is delicious on spaghetti noodles with fresh chopped onion, shredded cheese and Tabasco. Go ahead and judge me. I can take it.

Been eating it for 50 years. Ate some last night for enchiladas. The meat is always very tender and never any gristle. Tried Hormel a few times and it just had to much nasty tough gristle meat in it.

Would much rather see Chick-fil-a spicy chicken biscuits in the frozen food aisle.

I know it sounds preposterous but it's good.
Dan90210 ☮ the Man... Dan I grew up in Indiana and Skyline was a once a week must....And now do the same as you, buy the cans at Kroger and have 3 way often...absolutely love it.

this is pretty good chili and it's made right here in fort worth. That chili used to be called "Ft. Worth Chili". Sold lots of it when I was in the grocery business. Good stuff.

I picked up a can of Wolf Angus and regular "no beans" chili from Amazon - local stores only have the Bean version. So will give it try.

I’d soon not have chili if I have to have chili in a can. That’s just me and I’m not knocking any of you.

this is pretty good chili and it's made right here in fort worth. For the beef, they go to local Whataburgers and pick up uneaten burger remnants off of tables.
