So why don't you go through the list of rules and tell us which should just be optional rules..... because actually breaking the law and fishing without a license doesn't seem to matter to you.

Yeah I would not have said something so poorly about the Boss either.

Amen, I cannot believe he used the Boss' name in the same sentence as beartrap's

You must put respect on The Boss of Eufaula

I am out on other competitors getting to dictate punishment. Nothing good will come of that.

Uh no, if the online system wouldn't work he shoulda went to the local wal-mart and bought a license over the counter. The company that created some of TPWD online systems did a not so good job, they've had issues with their online lottery hunts too, on more than one occassion when the draw happened it sent congratulation emails to everyone who applied, talk about some unhappy hunters when they found out it was a mistake roflmao

same debate going on BBC forum.....couple things mentioned that I certainly agree with and that is this type screw-up has happened in several states and the more we rely on digital devices to purchase licenses, the more likelihood this is going to happen again.....another that I certainly agree with is that I feel super bad for the man......the best fisherman did not win the tournament....it is hard to win any tournament especially a 3 day event with the caliber of competition he was competing against....

On both forums you are in the minority regarding your opinion.

On BBC? Well shiiiiiddd. That explains a lot.

Look man intent does not matter. Go back and read my story about my Uncle who thought he had, and intended to, shoot a legal moose. Turns out it was not. He turned himself in and lost his hunting license for it... even though it was his intent to shoot a legal bull. Thats not what happened.

You are trolling us? Right? Has to be. No one can truly believe the right thing was not done here. I think there can be a debate about if the NPPFFL or whatever should check licenses prior to first cast. Is it hand holding? Yes. Would it avoid this type of ugly mess. Yes. I can see both sides there.

But the guy was poaching... regardless of what he "thought" he had done.

The best fisherman that was legal and followed all the rules won the tournament. That's who should win

I finally agree with you on something… lol. There is no way a group of men are going to take a vote and then split their winnings up because someone violated a tournament rule. There are DQ’s for cheating and DQ’s for rule infractions. End of story.

no idea where he's from and no connection to the man whatsoever....my viewpoint has been and still is, is that there are numerous instances of Texas and other states screwing up the purchase of licenses on-line and there was enough of a chance that the winner bought the license correctly and the system screwed up...
