But you do see them on the battlefield.

They wear dresses now. What do you expect them to drive?

You see a lot of half ton trucks in the oil field, mostly Ford and GM.

That truck probably has more payload capacity than a 1 ton dually domestic

The waste gate controls the exhaust gases from the motor through the twin turbo's --- a basic intercooler design . Problem is how Toyota fixes the waste gate problem . The twin turbo's are located at the very back of the V6 --- really close to the firewall . Toyota has to take the entire cab and bed off the truck entirely ---using "special " hoist's , then they replace the waste gate lever and both turbo systems . Under warranty it's no cost to the owner ---- imagine paying for that when your out of warranty . I can't imagine those turbo's being very reliable

I think like 30 something cases off all the new trucks built had the issues, and they redesigned it- basically it’s a non issue at this point.

do you have actual data --- or is that the opinion of the youtube guys that get paid post video's on Trucks . I would love for your statement to be true but I doubt it is .
One fact for sure --- I would hate to be the guy that has to pay Toyota out of warranty to fix the turbo's and/or the waste guy controller .
Toyota would be smart to come out and tell truck buyers that will totally warranty any/all turbo issues for an extended time

The secret is double wheel bearings in the back, heavier springs. Toyota made a tiny dually back in 1980.

Well it was on a YouTube video about trucks- but I trust the guys on TFL- they are not homers for any particular brand.

I love my 2019 with only 29,000 miles on her.

You go posting something like this and now the hail is going to find you. That's how this works. Dang, man.

Sympathies. She was a good looking truck.

This one is less than 3 months old. Beat up last weekend in Fredericksburg.

Bought mine new in 2007, still running strong with 225K miles. Only been in the shop once when the water pump went out. I am not a fan of the new look, but it would be hard for me to buy any other brand. My hope is that I can hang onto this one for another 7 years so that I will have had it half my life.

And I personally like the basics of it. I dont need a bunch of extra gadgets going out and needing to be fixed. The only real thing I would change with them is to make a quieter cab, the road noise can make it difficult on calls while driving.

I would definitely Karen up your place over that truck, and I am fully aware that the age and mileage should have depleted any re-sale value for it.

That sucks man. We had two vehicles (one brand new and one nearly new) that took it to the teeth last Thursday night, as well.

I had a 2013 Double Cab SR5 with the 5.7 that I bought new. Loved everything about it except the mileage and small gas tank. Traded it in 2019 for a slightly used Suburban. Worst mistake I ever made. mad
