I am going to second getting something to reduce the A/C starting amps. My RV has Micro-Air soft starts on both units (50amp service). I can watch the amp meter and I do not see much in the way of starting amps. This would help reduce the size of the generator that you need. (Meaning closer to 3600 watts).

Thank you for your input. I was able to take my 11 month old Predator back to Harbor Freight and they exchanged it for a new one. Not sure what to do with it, I don't want it due to the first 2 failing or going bad on me. I am going to get the soft start and a different brand Generator-Champion-5500 inverter with remote. Wish me luck!

Get a pair of Honda EU2200 gensets. They run in parallel and are light enough to lift into the truck by yourself. I can generally run one in cooler weather and need both if the ac will be on. Had the Champion 3500, but it would trip out when the ac would first ramp up. Soft start on the ac didn't help it either.

To the best of my knowledge all the Duromax units have electric start and come with a battery. The 5500 unit I have is compact and easy to roll around but I havent used it on our RV.

My Predator has been very reliable and has been very reliable. It doesn’t seem to like devises that have GFI outlets on it like my coffee pot. It would trip unless I had it on a dedicated cord. Not sure why.
I keep the oil changed after each power outage. Run good gas and keep fresh plugs in it.

I have a 8500 watt Generac generator on my double wide trailer at my lake place. It won't run my A/C or my dryer but everything else will run. I got it because we have quite a few power outages at my lake place. This keeps the refrigerator running, lights on, a TV on if I want to watch it.
