Single console really only helps on boats under 20'. With a 20' the dual doesn't get in the way. I had a 18.7' boat and wished the console could be removed and now I how a 20' that is removeable but I leave it on. Glovebox is also nice to have. Your flurry of posts the last 2 weeks is about to get out of control.

I'm currently running a duel console and it is the first one I've ever owned. My thoughts before this boat is that it would be in the way but so far its been no problem. When my daughter or my son goes out with me they usually drive and I ride. It's comfortable behind that console when it is cold.

If you tournament fish a single console just sets up better. It’s nice to have the floor area as your workspace when landing a fish etc. You can also duck down in the floor to tie baits etc out of the wind. On a dual console that second one will be in the way for anything but running.

Thanks for the thoughts. I have a Skeeter FX 20. It is a 2015 model. When I got the boat in a box that came with it was the 2nd console. It would be wonderful if Skeeter would do the put in take out option but they didn't. There is fiberglass work to put it in and no taking it out once you do. I have toyed with the thought of having it installed just have not done it yet after owning the boat for 6 years.

If your excuse for having dual console is protection from the elements, then your passenger has the wrong outdoor gear on.
Everything on your bass boat is broken......You just don't know it yet.

Dual consoles look better if you don’t know what you’re looking at.

I’ve got a removable dual console and never taken it off, plenty of room- but it’s 21’.

Same here, I can honestly say that the extra console has not cost me any fish, lost me any money, or caused any other problems. I do know when I am running 81 mph down the lake my partner really appreciates it, mostly being my wife.

I am waiting for the first boat company to come out with a curved plexiglass windshield that will slide up from the back of the front deck behind the passenger side rod box to protect the passenger while running. Then when the run is over and you go to fish it would slide back down into the deck.
