Looking for thoughts on a decent jig rod. Preferably 10-12' in length and with a medium power. Trying to stay around the $80 or less range. I've looked into Bonehead, Jenko & Grizzly. What are your thoughts? Any input is appreciated.

11’ Jenko silver pro series. (Formerly the Kevin Rogers Rod). For the money it can’t be beat. IMO. If I thought it could I would be using that rod instead!

BnM diamond series or the Russ Bailey signature series. You won’t go back to another brand

BnM has a really good line up... A lot of peeps swear by ACC, but I don't own one.

we got the ACC CRAPPIE STIX in 10 and 11 foot. best all around rod ive ever used.. do still use the 10 foot B&M graphite rod, in heavy cover as it has more spring action and more power to get hung jigs out of brush. also still have the 8 and 10 ft PRO ANGLER rods in the line up. ACC and Pro Angler, u can get replacement top halfs for them if u break one/ if u need a reel to go with them, check out the PISCEFUN line up., best bang for the buck we could find very happy with them. or if u can find a Pinnicle tiny deadbolt.. shimano sienna are highly rated for thier class. I have around 40 rods.. if I could choose only one it would be the acc... with that being said, I havent owned it very long, a few months, so how it holds up, to a 300 lb galute, with a hard hookset is yet to be seen in the years to come. I do get the sense that the company does and will stand by thier rods for years to come. also once u sign up for thier weekly news letters, they send alot of good info from top gun anglers around the country,. interesting articles, seasonal patterns from present day anglers with recent reports.. .. you can even submit your own reports to be shared in thier newsletters. lots of just regular guys or local guides are contributing. ACC has a really good vibe going on

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

I agree with Leanin Post you can't go wrong with ACC or Pro Angler. I also like Bonehead rods.

The findthefish rods are light like an ACC and stiff backbone like a Bonehead. The way they are balanced you can hold a 12-13ft rod all day no problem. I like the bonehead, I would never trust a ACC to boat flip a good fish in my opinion, they just don't have the back bone to do it without risking loosing the fish. I know without a doubt that if my 12 year old can hunt down a fast roaming fish in 10ft of water and hoss him up this fast with a rod 7.5 feet longer than he is tall, so can you! Give the find the fish rods a try. [video:youtube] https://youtube.com/shorts/DkHVXaiOSfU?feature=share[/video]

Check out the ProAngler rods. Quality components, good backbone, sensitive, light weight for the length, and the price is in your range. Used 'em for 12 years and never had an issue with any of them. The ACC Crappie Stix is also good but about $15 more than a ProAngler rod comparing 10 fters. Blindfolded I doubt many people can tell the difference in their hand.

I’ve used BnM, ACC Crappie Stix, and Huckabee. And despite using and owning all of those “preferred brands”. My favorite livescoping rod is a Lew’s Wally Marshall Speed Shooter 12’0” ML. I also have the 11’0 and like it as well. 12’ is $70. 11’0 is $65. Free shipping on both if you have an Amazon account. The matching reel which I also really like is on sale right now for $32 and I love that reel. I even changed out all the reels on my 6’ minnow rods to these reels.
The only rod I like as much as this one is the ACC crappie Stix with the Super Grip but you’re looking at $115 or so for that one.

Man I wish I had the $$ to try them all. Thanks to all who have given their input. Now I just have to make my mind up on which to get first. 🤷♂️

For the money , I don't think you can beat ProAngler. I have a G-rod and a St Croix , that cost a lot more than my ProAnglers, I don't find them any better. I looked at an ACC the other day , nice rod , but I am not paying $100. to try it out
your mileage may vary

Y'all are High Speed Low Drag.
I use a 5' long UglyStik Elite with a Daiwa 2500 sized spinning reel. 6# test braid.

Well I have only use three of the 10 foot long "jig" rods. A Kevin Rodgers, a Mr. Crappie "slab shaker"and a BnM Bucks best ultra light. I have brutalized the first two using them also for catching catfish on punch bait. The BnM is the lightest by far, the Kevin Rodgers the heaviest. The Bnm has the lightest action and is the most sensitive. I like them all but don't think the BnM would make the list as a punch bait rod for catfish.

Threads like this benefit from pictures. (The reason you can't see the high viz line on the terminal tackle. It got the grey Sharpie treatment. About 4' of treatment)
