Expect the lake to drop another 15' before the release is slowed.

If this is the senerio by the time Bass Champs comes Box Canyon should be closed and the lake will be down to Diablo and Rough Canyon.

Yep, figure we'll be down to two ramps sooner than later.

Falcon needs and appreciates every drop of water it gets. Thankfully the main County ramp is back in use at least for a while now. Use caution though, there is a sweet spot. It is always fun catching fish in water that wasn't there a week ago.

With the ease that they are carrying weed over the open borders now they need a lot more water to grow it!

Don't rob Peter to pay Paul with our lakes. That's horrible ideology. Yes they both need water I agree with that statement.

Someone please educate me on something I have always wondered about. How is the water sent to where is suppose to go once released out of the dam? Is there pumps and pipes or a canal system? Are they generating electricity? Because seem like most of the dams and people calling the shots still operate things like we are back in the 60-70s and there has to be a more effcient way. Im sure alot of that water is just pushed through and out to the sea.

River System and canals. Yes they are still operating under the 1944 Water Treaty. Mexico owns 43 percent of the water rights from Amistad. Amistad was built to provide irrigation water storage, flood control, and hydropower generation, it is the largest dam along the international boundary reach of the Rio Grande

Yes but Mexico has been in a deficit to the US for years. On another note has anyone fished down there lately? We are heading down tomorrow.

[Linked Image] count the boats in this pic from today and tell me Amistad doesn’t get pressure.

Buddy lives in Box Canyon, he hasn’t seen the lake as busy as it was today, in years. I suppose it’s the PBOBI that everyone is fishing???
