Ok, I have a question. I have a 36v Ultrex I-Pilot. The older version. My Ultrex doesn't hold spot lock very well and loves to move about. Sometimes it will settle down and stay on target pretty good but not often. I am considering upgrading the head unit to the newer I-link unit. I don't care about I-Link but my understanding is the newer head unit is suppose to be more accurate with spot lock than the older version. Minn Kota told me the newer head unit would plug up to my Ultrex. Has anyone done this and did it help with the accuracy of spot lock?

I have a new GPS head in my garage if ya wanna try it first. Don’t ask. I have a LOT of Ultrex parts. It’s only four screws and a plug.

Thanks for looking into it. Wish it was the I-Link unit

Just a follow up on this. I replaced my head control unit and what a difference it made. Finally back to true spot lock and not "area" or acre lock!
Strange how the factory one went bad but all good to go now.

I thought the Ultrex came out when they had improved spotlock accuracy. Have you tried adjusting the settings in the TM remote? Sometimes changing the boat size helps it from over correcting so much

I tried everything. The controller simply wasn't working right. I did make adjustments on the boat size as when I first used it the sucker tried to throw me out of the boat left and right when it would act squirrely. Replacement made the difference. And of course right after the foot pedal steering sensor went out. Replaced that too and good to go.

FishKiller Do you have the Part# for your Minn Kota I pilot link Bluetooth controller. I have looked into the website but just cannot find it. I have a 112 36 volt unit.

Thanks Jim Holmes
