Before you go to bed, just wrap up in aluminum foil. You will be fine!

Throw away your suitcase and set your bed legs in jar tops or something that'll hold liquid bug spray/alcohol.

10 years as traveling oilfield trash & thankfully, I never experienced them. I'm still oilfield trash but get to sleep in my own bed nowadays.

Sorry Mudshark. I've always worried about picking them up at a hotel, but thankfully never have.

I've heard you can bag your suitcase and dirty clothes in a heavy duty black trash bag and leave it inside your car or truck in the sun for a while and it will suposedly kill the evil little bastiges. Whatever you do, don't bring any live ones back home with you. Supposedly they can't handle hot temperatures. I had a brightazz UV flashlight I carried for checking out the hotel room before I unpacked anything when they were bad 5 or so years ago.

When I woke up today with a long line of bites along my belly, I knew exactly what this was. Looks like zits about every two inches from my lower belly to my chest. Nuked my closet first, then the bedroom. My suitcase is now in the driveway dripping in raid.

What’s worse chiggers or bedbugs?

Chiggers are worse as far as discomfort, but bed bugs are a lot harder to get rid of.
